Town's U18s will take a 2-0 lead into Wednesday's FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg after the first game at Portman Road. Midfielder Liam Trotter put the Blues in front in the first half and Irish U19 international striker Billy Clarke added the second after the break.

Irish U18 star Owen Garvan scored the only goal as Town's reserves beat Spurs 1-0 at Portman Road. The midfielder netted with 11 minutes remaining of the first half but the Blues really ought to have scored more than the single goal.

Pablo Couñago is the only senior player in the Town reserve side facing Tottenham at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm). The rest of the team is mainly Town's U18 side which faces Spurs in the home leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final on April 8th.

Tommy Miller's penalty just after the hour mark was enough to give the Blues a hard-fought win at Cardiff's Ninian Park. Miller had won the spotkick himself, spinning inside the Bluebirds' box and Danny Gabbidon sending him tumbling.
